The senior center will be collecting coats, hats and gloves for the children at St. Ignatius Schools. There is a drop box at the center.

Due to Montana being a northern state, it receives less direct sunlight during the winter months, from September to May. We have more cloudy and snowy days, reducing our exposure to the sun’s rays. Due to the less direct sunlight, we may not get sufficient vitamin D. Good food sources of Vitamin D are; salmon, tuna, mackerel, egg yolks, and foods fortified with vitamin D, such as milk, yogurt, and breakfast cereal. Check with your doctor about taking Vitamin D supplement.

The center will be closed on Nov. 28 and is hosting bingo on Dec. 13.

The main dishes served at the center include tater tot casserole, Dec. 2; pulled pork with baked beans, Dec. 3; and burritos with french fries, Dec. 5.

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Come enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you would like a takeout meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday. Times of meals are; 12 p.m. Tues/Fri and 5:30 p.m. first and third Wednesdays. Menus for the month are available in the entryway of the Center. Our Senior Center is available for rent. If interested, please call or stop by. If you have questions about obtaining Elder Commodities, call or stop by for information and application.

Gentle Yoga is on Wednesday 1:00-2:15 p.m. If you are interested, please call Bonnie Kiser at 406-253-0177. Her rate is 5 sessions for $65.
