A Washington State man is accused of possessing drugs and sneaking into the residence of the mother of his children. Geoffrey Allan Lavoy, 35, entered a plea of not guilty in District Court in Polson Nov. 19 to misdemeanor trespassing and felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
According to charging documents, on Oct. 31, a woman called law enforcement because she thought someone might be in her Ferndale-area home. A Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived and cleared the home.
Lavoy had allegedly left a green jacket behind, and a health care card with his name on it was discovered in it. Neighbors reported seeing Lavoy’s car with Washington State license plates parked in the area earlier that day.
When Lavoy was arrested, he was allegedly in possession of 17 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Judge Molly Owen set the case for trial on May 4 and released Lavoy on his own recognizance, stipulating he wear a drug patch, GPS device, and have no contact with the mother of his children.
Lavoy allegedly violated terms of his release and is now back in jail with bond set at $50,000, according to the Lake County Jail Roster.
