Jason Gale Mobley

Jason Gale Mobley 46 of Yakima, Washington passed away Nov. 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jason was born Jan. 25, 1979, to Lura Mobley in Yakima, Washington.

Jason attended West Valley Jr. High School in Yakima, Washington. While attending W.V.J.H he was proud to have been able to participate in J.R.O.T.C. Jason took great pride in wearing the J.R.O.T.C uniform and making his shoes shine, more than anyone else’s. In fact, the other kids in his class would pay him $1 to shine their shoes, too.

In 1995, Jason and his family moved to Libby, Montana where he graduated in 1997. After graduation, Jason worked for Achievements Inc. Jason loved participating in the “Relay for Life” events from 1996-2012. In 2012 he was voted and kinged “Mr. Relay.”

Jason was a member of the local Kiwanis Club in Libby, Montana and received “Volunteer of the Year 2012-2013. Jason also participated in Special Olympics “WolfPacks” team; with basketball being his favorite sport. Jason received several medals and was proud of all of them.

Wherever Jason lived you could see him riding his bicycle or pushing a lawn mower around town. Mowing lawns was a sidekick for him, or even shoveling snow. He took great pride in the work that he provided.

Jason is survived by his parents: Bill and Lura of Yakima, Washington; siblings: Monica (Jeremy) Dirks of Kuna, Idaho, Michael (Jess) of Summerville, Georgia, and Crystal Inama of Yakima, Washington. Also, his nieces and nephews: Tamerak, Tianna, Cassidy, Lexie of Kuna, Idaho, and Caitlynn, Daniel, and Samual of Summerville, Georgia. Special Friends: Craig and Renee’ Fox of Libby, Montana and Chris Anderson AKA “Pineapple” of Yakima, Washington. Also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at Brookside Funeral Home in Moxee, Washington.
