Susie Ray, 72, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, while at home. Susie experienced a massive cardiac event that sadly ended her life. Family and first responders were unable to revive her.

A memorial and celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the Kalispell Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1185 Old Reserve Drive, off U.S. 93 North.

Born in Reidsville, North Carolina Nov. 21, 1953, Susie graduated from Reidsville High. She has lived in Northwest Montana for the last 20 years, where she was close to and involved in the lives of her daughter and her family.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee Solseth and Blossom Gann Solseth.

Susie is survived by her siblings, Patsy Wyatt and Edward Solseth; her husband of 47 years, Ken Ray; her daughter, Sarah Hohnberger and her beloved grandchildren.

Susie loved growing, arranging, and displaying flowers. Her home was always beautiful and inviting. She enjoyed decorating her home with the changing of the seasons and holidays, making it a delightful place to be.

Susie lived a full life and touched many. Over the years, she has cared selflessly and deeply for her family, as well as working both in real estate and more recently as a personal assistant until her retirement in 2021.

Susie will be missed by all who knew her. She was deeply loved by her family. We look forward with hope to the resurrection morning when we will see Susie again. We are thankful for her, the wonderful birthday memories we made with her just last week, and that she lived life to the fullest and did not suffer in death.
