A woman, allegedly being harassed by Publishers Clearing House, was fed up and called the Kalispell Police Department, wanting advice on how to stop it. She said she already reported it to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center. An officer told her to also block and report phone numbers/emails as spam.
Officers left emergency road kits and a note to transients to clean up their trash, along with information on area resources.
An employee reportedly prevented a drunk woman from driving while another customer held onto her car keys and phone until Whitefish Police Department officers arrived. Officers seized the keys, and a friend picked up the woman, who was lying on the ground.
A woman closing up a bar for the night allegedly started her car to warm it up when she heard the engine revving and looked outside to see it had been moved. Since the suspects left in a white Subaru, the officer reportedly thought they had gotten into the wrong vehicle and realized their mistake. The officer left a business card, advising her to call with questions or if she wanted to pursue charges.
