Leonard “Lenny” Craig Thiringer
Dec. 18, 1946 – Oct. 29, 2025
Leonard Thiringer, 78, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025. Lenny devoted his life to loving God, his family, and his friends.
Lenny was born in Spokane, Wash., on Dec. 18, 1946, to Hans and Edna Thiringer, and grew up with his two older brothers, Larry and Garry, in Spokane Valley, Wash.
While attending a small Bible college in Dodge City, Kan., Lenny met his wife of 51 years, Kristin Bond. They married Dec. 9, 1973, and were blessed with three children: Jessica, David, and Petra. They spent much of their early parenting years in Cañon City, Colo., before moving to Rathdrum, Idaho, when their children were teens. They’ve been in Kootenai County, Idaho, ever since.
Lenny will be deeply missed. As we mourn his passing, we remember and thank God for the extraordinary gift he was to us. Now he hears the music of heaven. He is with loved ones who have gone before him — and most of all, he is with Jesus.
Lenny is survived by his wife, Kristin; his daughter, Jessica, and her husband, Tom; his son, Petra, and his wife, Lisa; and his son, David, and his wife, Milly, and their three children, Caleb, Josiah and Naomi.
A celebration of life will be held for Lenny Thiringer at New Life Church, 6068 W. Hayden Ave., Rathdrum, ID 83858, on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
