NO SURPRISES: Hospital addresses claims
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 4 weeks, 1 day AGO
Post Falls ER & Hospital is fully committed to providing high-quality emergency care while protecting patients from unexpected medical bills.
Although we are currently out of network with certain insurance plans, patients are fully protected under the federal No Surprises Act. This means patients are billed as if we are in network, pay only their usual in-network copays, deductibles or coinsurance, and cannot be balance-billed for any difference between our charges and their insurer’s payment.
When payment disagreements arise between the hospital and an insurance company, the matter is handled through the federal Independent Dispute Resolution process; a neutral review that occurs strictly between the hospital and the insurer. This process does not involve patients and does not change their financial responsibility.
At Post Falls ER & Hospital, our patients can trust that our focus continues to be delivering exemplary 24/7 emergency care, safeguarding patients from surprise bills and working toward fair and sustainable agreements with all insurance partners.
