COEUR d'ALENE — Mountain Madness Soap Company had something special to be thankful for during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Sherman Avenue shop was featured in the PBS series "Northwest Profiles," which spotlights small business owners focused on local craft, food and beverage products throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The episode aired on Thanksgiving night on KSPS.

In a post to social media Monday, Mountain Madness thanked PBS for the opportunity — and the community that made it all possible.

"We truly admire PBS’s commitment to insightful, educational television that’s accessible to everyone," the post read in part. "Our customers are the beautiful reason our story and our soap truly shine. Thank you for being the heart of everything we do."

Mountain Madness has been a beloved member of the downtown business community since 2016 and grew from owner Jennifer Morsell's passion project that began over 25 years ago in North Pole, Alaska.
