Eli Larson, Carroll College Football

A 2021 graduate of Sandpoint High, Eli recorded five tackles, 1.5 of which were for a combined 2 yards in losses, two pass breakups, one quarterback hurry and a forced fumble in the No. 18 Saints' recent 27-13 homecoming win over Rocky Mountain College on Valley Bank Field at Nelson Stadium. According to the Carroll College Sports Information Department, Larson forced the fumble when the Bears were attempting a comeback late in the fourth quarter. The redshirt senior chased down a receiver near the red zone, punching the ball out of the opposing player's grasp with precision to curtail what would have been a 33-yard reception. Carroll College (3-1) travels to Arizona Christian University on Saturday.

Kerry Johnson, Naval Academy Sprint Football

A 2019 graduate of Sandpoint High, Kerry, a 5-foot-8-inch senior, made his second straight start at center and helped the Midshipmen to 326 total yards of offense — 265 rushing and 61 passing — in a recent 28-7 win over St. Thomas Aquinas of Sparkill, N.Y. The 2024 All-CSFL First Team offensive lineman and Navy (2-0) will host Mansfield for their home opener at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Friday, Oct. 10.

Aubree Lane, Spokane CC Volleyball

A 2024 graduate of Sandpoint High, Aubree, recently named NWAC East Region Offensive Athlete of the Week (Sept. 15-21), produced a combined 11 kills, 18 digs and four total blocks, two solo and two assisted, across four sets played in recent games against Blue Mountain (W 3-0) and Wenatchee Valley (W 3-0). The former four-time "Heart of the Bulldog" honoree has started in 13 matches and has played in 41 sets so far this year for the Sasquatch (11-5), which hosted Columbia Basin on Oct. 1 and hosts Big Bend today.

Kimberly Lucas, University of Maine at Fort Kent Volleyball

A 2025 graduate of Bonners Ferry High, Kimberly had a combined nine kills, two aces, four digs and two blocks, one solo and one assisted, in the Lady Bengals' recent double header against Fisher College (L 3-0, L 3-0). The former Lady Badger standout has a tied for team-high 52 kills across 27 sets played and has started in all seven matches so far this season for UMaine Fort Kent (2-5), which hosted St. Thomas University New Brunswick for a doubleheader Oct. 2 and travels to Southern Maine CC on Saturday.

Rylie Kimball, Clark University Volleyball

A 2025 graduate of Bonners Ferry High, Rylie posted a career-high three kills, her first collegiate ace, her first two collegiate digs, and a block assist in a recent 3-0 loss to Bowdoin College. The former Lady Badger standout also had her first career block assist in a recent 3-0 loss to Emerson College for Clark University (1-10), which hosts Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Connecticut College at the Kneller Athletic Center for a doubleheader on Saturday.

Luke Butler, Pacific Lutheran University Golf

A 2023 graduate of Priest River High, Luke carded a total gross 12-over-par 156 (77-79) across two rounds to finish tied for 45th out of 67 golfers at the PLU Invitational held Monday and Tuesday at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. The former three-time Spartan state qualifier shot 21 pars and three second-round birdies and was the No. 4 golfer for the Lutes, which finished second out of 13 scoring teams. Pacific Lutheran travels to the Pacific Invitational set to be held Saturday and Sunday at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore.

Connor Alexander, Lewis-Clark State College Cross Country

A 2022 graduate of Bonners Ferry High, Connor ran to a new personal best 8,000-meter time of 25 minutes, 31.6 seconds (5:08 per mile) to finish 46th out of 146 runners at the Western Washington University Bill Roe Invitational held this past Saturday at Hovander Homestead Park in Ferndale. The former Badger standout was the No. 2 runner for the Warriors, which finished ninth out of 12 scoring teams.

Camille Ussher, Lewis-Clark State College Cross Country

A 2022 graduate of Bonners Ferry High, Camille ran to a season-best 6,000-meter time of 23 minutes, 7.5 seconds (6:12 per mile) to finish 31st out of 96 runners at the Western Washington University Bill Roe Invitational. The former Lady Badger standout was the No. 2 runner for the Lady Warriors, which finished fifth out of nine scoring teams. Lewis-Clark State is idle until Saturday, Oct. 11, when they'll host the LC State Invitational.

Emma Thielbahr, University of Denver Soccer

A 2022 graduate of IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) who also played soccer for Sandpoint High, Emma, a redshirt junior defender, scored her second game-winning goal of the season — a header off a corner kick — during the 71st minute of a 2-1 Summit League victory at North Dakota State this past Sunday. For her efforts on the week, which included a 1-0 league road win over the University of North Dakota, the former Lady Bulldog standout was named the Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week. Emma has started in all 11 games and has played 959 total minutes so far this year for the Lady Pioneers (5-3-3), which hosted Kansas City on Oct. 2, and will host Oral Roberts on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Evan Dickinson, College of Idaho Soccer

A 2023 graduate of Sandpoint High, Evan, a junior defender, has started in all five games so far this season for the Yotes, tallying three shots across 308 total minutes. The former Inland Empire League MVP and Walla Walla CC All-American played in all 90 minutes in a recent game against Corban (W 5-3) and all 90 minutes in a recent game against Bushnell (W 5-4).

Jett Longanecker, College of Idaho Soccer

A 2024 graduate of Sandpoint High, Jett, a sophomore defender, has started in all five games so far this season for the Yotes, tallying three shots across 289 total minutes. The former Inland Empire League MVP played in all 90 minutes in a recent game against Warner Pacific (L 1-0), 55 minutes in a recent game against Corban (W 5-3), and 66 minutes in a recent game against Bushnell (W 5-4). The College of Idaho (2-2-1) returns to action today for a home game against Eastern Oregon.

Kylie Burnett, St. Lawrence University Soccer

A 2022 graduate of Shattuck-St. Mary's (Faribault, Minn.) who also played soccer for Sandpoint High, Kylie has started in all 10 games so far this season for the Lady Saints, registering six shots, one of which was on goal, across 806 total minutes. The former Lady Bulldog standout started in recent games against Plattsburgh State (W 2-1), Skidmore College (L 2-1) and Hamilton College (T 1-1). St. Lawrence (4-3-3) travels to Bard College on Saturday, Oct. 4, for a league matchup.

Kimberly Yarnell, Northwest University Soccer

A 2023 graduate of Sandpoint High, Kimberly, a junior midfielder, has started in all 10 games so far this season for the Lady Eagles, tallying three shots across 723 total minutes. The former Lady Bulldog standout played in all 90 minutes in a recent game against Rocky Mountain College (T 1-1) and all 90 minutes in a recent game against Carroll College (T 1-1). Northwest University (4-3-3) traveled to the University of Providence on Oct. 2 for another Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup.

Cheyenne Thompson, College of the Siskiyous Soccer

A 2024 graduate of Priest River High, Cheyenne scored her first career collegiate goal in a recent 6-1 win over Gavilan College. The former Lady Spartan standout has seen time in nine games this season and made her first start of the season in a recent 1-0 win over Redwoods College for the College of the Siskiyous (6-4), which travels to Shasta College today.
