RATHDRUM — Lake City freshman Collin Rzepa had two goals and an assist, leading the Timberwolves past the Lakeland Hawks 4-1 in a nonleague match at Sunrise Rotary Field on Tuesday.

Lake City (5-5-1) hosts Upper Columbia Academy of Spangle, Wash., on Monday.

“It was senior night, and we were hoping we’d come out fired up and ready to go, which we did,” Lakeland coach Nick Haynes said. “We failed to clear a corner kick and had some breakdowns on defense, but were just down 2-0 and making halftime adjustments before they scored two more right before the half. We didn’t start the half well or finish the half well. We had some chances and opportunities, but were just a little short.”

Senior forward Apolo Gratzinger scored in the 55th minute for Lakeland (5-6-1), which hosts Sandpoint in a 5A Inland Empire League match on Thursday.

First half — 1, LC, Oliver Soumis (Vann Tate), 5:00. 2, LC, Jonathan Kitsak (Collin Rzepa), 20:00. Second half — 3, LC, Rzepa (Sawyer Anderson), 40:30. 4, LC, Rzepa (Reese Crandall), 48:00. 5, LL, Apolo Gratzinger (unassisted), 55:00.

COEUR d’ALENE — Junior forward Isaac Lowder scored on a penalty kick in the 31st minute for the Vikings, who played to a nonleague draw with the Bulldogs under the lights at Viking Field.

Sandpoint beat Coeur d’Alene 3-1 in a nonleague match on Sept. 20, also at Viking Field.

“The last time, we went away from our rhythm of play,” Coeur d’Alene coach Robbie Harmelink said. “Now, we learned that we need to be more intentional with the ball at our feet and our focus was on doing that tonight. We just couldn’t find that final goal to break the deadlock.”

Coeur d’Alene (7-3-1) hosts Moscow on Thursday at Viking Field.

Sandpoint is 9-3-3.

First half — 1, Cd’A, Isaac Lowder (penalty kick), 31:00. Second half — 2, Spt, Brennan Shaw (Logan McGrann), 63:00.
