The Plains Trotters won a pair of matches in Plains, both in three sets last week, defeating Darby Monday and turning back Arlee Friday.

Mila Rivinius led the Trotters at the net against Arlee with eight kills and three blocks, Hadyn Rice added eight kills and seven digs, Aubree Butcher six kills and three aces, Claire Lakko seven digs and five aces and Taylor Saner nine digs.

Versus Darby, the Trotters put down 28 kills with Rice hitting eight and Kalli Tuma and Lakko adding seven apiece. Plains finished that match with 24 aces, with Rice’s six leading the team. Lakko set 25 assists.

Plains coach Kim Lakko was impressed with her C and JV teams against Darby. Emery Johnson served up 24 winning points for the Trotter C team in the second set of that match.

Coach Lakko said that Macey Malmend, Briaunna Kulawinski, Aly Roy, Randie Kilgore, Reese Meredith, Taryn Meredith and Cooper Spurr all made strong contributions to the Plains JV’s win over Darby.

Plains volleyball teams are scheduled to play in Missoula against Loyola Tuesday and are set to host Troy Saturday.
