Phillips Gallery hosts a joint exhibit, Two Visions … One World, showcasing the work of Flathead Valley artists Lindalee Voss Cleveland and Donna Davis through Nov. 1.

The collaboration between these two artists arose from their mutual passion for painting, each having their own distinct vision of how to capture the views before them on canvas.

A reception is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 3 at the gallery, located inside Kalispell Center Mall, 20 N. Main St., Kalispell, with an artist’s talk starting at 5:30 p.m.

Voss Cleveland, a self-taught artist, is distinguished for her richly colored landscape, bird and still-life paintings. She works primarily in oil on canvas in a semi-realistic style, drawing upon techniques inspired by the old masters. Voss Cleveland's lifelong dream of creating art has been nurtured by nationally recognized artist Rachel Warner and Richie Carter, with influences from Flathead Valley Community College professors Susan Guthrie and Charity Flowers.

Davis' lifelong passion for art has led to a distinguished career. Initially, she earned a degree in cosmetology, leveraging her understanding of color theory to become a hair color specialist and salon owner. Following the sale of her business, she dedicated herself to mastering oil painting. This exhibition showcases her impressive work in oil, alongside a fun collection of encaustic pieces. Davis has studied painting with Rodger Rink, Mark Ogle, Rob Akey and Karen Leigh.
