Josephine Irene Luhr, 78

Josephine Irene Luhr, 78, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away Sept. 20, 2025, at her home in Kellogg. Josephine was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Kellogg, Idaho, a daughter of the late Ren and Jane (Yount) Hone. 

Josephine graduated from Kellogg High School. She was a seamstress for many years and enjoyed playing cards, embroidery, spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Hone, and two sisters, Rosalie Welch and Phyllis Hone. 

Survivors include her two children, Yvonne Luby and Don Hobbs; five grandchildren, Dominick, Derrick and Dylan Luby and Athena and Eleny Hobbs; two brothers, Ron and Randy Hone; two sisters, Diane Gravley and Julie Fessler; Josephine’s partner, Victor Overman; son-in-law Shane Luby; and daughter-in-law Nikola Hobbs. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Shoshone Funeral Services, 106 S. Main St., Kellogg, ID 83837.
