MOSCOW — Bode Eacret is as consistent as they come — and that consistency paid off.

The Sandpoint High junior carded a 4-over-par 76, which included 15 pars, to win the 5A District 1-2 Championship as he propelled the Bulldogs to a runner-up team finish Friday at the University of Idaho Golf Course.

"Bode was a warrior out there and played incredibly solid and steady golf," Sandpoint High head coach Mike Deprez noted of the champion.

Senior Micah Young and senior Tyler Weisz shot 85's and tied for ninth out of 20 golfers while senior Logan Roos fired in an 86 and tied for 11th for Sandpoint's boys, which edged out Lakeland by just three strokes with a team score of 332 to qualify for the state championship. Young and Weisz both had one birdie apiece on the day.

"The boys unfortunately limped home, but they had an incredibly strong first 12-13 holes," coach Deprez said. "That start out of the gate carried us to victory. We really needed it when things got testy at the end."

For the Lady Bulldogs, senior Grace Loutzenhiser shot a personal-best round of 99 to finish tied for fifth out of 20 golfers. Freshman Hannah Majors carded a 103, freshman Ella Mahlum a 104, and junior Aspen Little-Torrez a 115 for Sandpoint's girls, which placed third out of four scoring teams with a team score of 421.

"Grace did great in just her second year of playing golf and broke 100 for the first time, which is fantastic for her final tournament," coach Deprez said. "The other three girls did great and they were all aware of the fact that this year was really an investment into 2026 in terms of experience. I couldn't be happier with how they played."

The 5A State Championship is set to be held Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Purple Sage Golf Club in Caldwell.
