Troy volleyball sweeps Arlee on the road

The Troy Trojans made the long trip south a successful one on Sept. 20, sweeping Arlee in three sets for an important non-conference volleyball victory.

Addyson Fisher powered the attack with 10 kills, while Mellissa Laffoon added nine to keep the Trojan offense rolling. Setter Kirsti Jellesed ran the show with 26 assists, spreading the ball effectively across the front line.

On defense, Halle Wallace and Ellie Borgmann anchored the back row with 10 digs apiece. Wallace also excelled in serve receive, finishing with 10 clean passes. At the net, Ainsley Huitron came up big with a pair of momentum-shifting blocks that helped Troy maintain control in tight stretches.

Troy hosted Thompson Falls Thursday evening and is set to play at Plains Saturday.
