Treva Mae Anson, 96, peacefully left us to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sept. 19, 2025.

Treva was born Jan. 2, 1929, to Theodore and Ada (Hartlaub) Keckler in Gettysburg, Pa. The family lived on her grandfather’s farm until she was 12. Later, they moved to Southern California, where she met and married Gene, the love of her life for 63 years. He was self-employed in the construction trade. Treva helped him in the business and was active at Immanuel First Lutheran in West Covina, Cali. The couple retired and moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 1994, where she was active in the LWML at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Treva had a gentle spirit, a great sense of humor and was confident in her faith, and instrumental in passing that faith in Christ to her family. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, time spent with family and hearing about her grandchildren.

Treva is lovingly remembered by her children, Debra (and Bill) Braten of Newman Lake, Wash., and Michael (and Diana) Anson of Post Falls, Idaho; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Michael W., Jeff and Nick; and 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Keckler.

Blessed be the memory of Treva Mae Anson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, located at 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID. Arrangements are provided by Yates Funeral Home. Online obituary and condolences may be found at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
