NO. 31583 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATION BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA In re NorthWestern Energy’s 2024–2025 PCCAM Filing Docket 2025.09.063 September 30, 2025 Notice of Application and Intervention Deadline 1. On August 29, 2025, NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (“NorthWestern”) filed an application (“Application”) with the Montana Public Service Commission (“Commission”) requesting approval of a rate adjustment under NorthWestern’s Power Costs and Credits Adjustment Mechanism (“PCCAM”). The PCCAM tracks certain costs and credits associated with supplying electric service and allows annual rate adjustments to track actual costs incurred and credits received. 2. In its Application, NorthWestern seeks approval of a rate adjustment to account for an under-collection of $5,448,705 of its base power costs and credits, qualifying facility costs, and Montana Consumer Counsel (“MCC”) and Commission net tax costs. NorthWestern additionally seeks an adjustment to account for an over-collection of demand-side management costs. NorthWestern asserts that its requested adjustments would result in a net decrease of $11.48 or 9.36% on the monthly bill of typical residential customer using 750 kilowatt-hours per month. Though the actual decrease will depend on each customer’s type and usage. 3. A copy of the filing is publicly available at the Commission’s business offices, 1701 Prospect Avenue, Helena, MT 59601, and online at the Commission’s website (psc.mt.gov) under Docket No. 2025.09.063.
