James Jared "JJ" Roberts was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 30, 2025.
JJ was born on Sept. 12, 1980, in Kalispell, to Jim and Marla Roberts, commencing a life marked by promise and potential.
During his high school years at Flathead High School, he met his soulmate, Heather Jeanne Wendt. Heather and JJ married on Jan. 20, 2001, and had four beautiful children: Mahala, Riley, Noah and Jonah, establishing a legacy of love and laughter.
At Montana Sash and Door, he discovered his passion and forged lasting relationships with his work family. We are eternally grateful for the profound impact of his work family and friendships. With a talent for fixing things and a heart for innovation, JJ lived an inspired life of hope and promise.
JJ’s extraordinary ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures was evident in his love for playing baseball in his younger years, until he found his passion for playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his kids, brothers, and dad, while his woodworking was a constant source of inspiration, as he loved building cribs for his grandbabies, beds for his kids, and a table for his daughter.
To all who knew him, his sense of humor and infectious smile and laugh will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Heather; his daughter, Mahala (Eric); sons, Riley (Faith), Noah (Sammy) and Jonah; grandsons, Saylor, Oliver and soon-to-arrive grandsons, Felix and Theodore; his mother, Marla; sister, Misty (Malachi); brothers, Dallas and Grant (Brianne); grandmother, Janet Roberts; father and mother-in-law, Duane and Pam Wendt; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Wendt and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Roberts; his grandparents, James Roberts and Garland and Vera Underwood.
The family will be having a celebration of life for JJ upstairs at the Eagles on Oct. 11 at 5 p.m.
