A Californian’s run from the law ended recently at the Canadian border’s Port of Roosville in Lincoln County.

Christopher Charles Flammer, 30, of South Lake Tahoe, was arrested Sept. 19 by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers.

Flammer had a warrant for his arrest in El Dorado County Superior Court, California on charges of possession of cocaine for sale and owning/operating a drug house. He has been lodged in the county jail since Sept. 19. His bond is set at $100,000.

At a Sept. 23 hearing in Lincoln County District Court, Flammer waived extradition proceedings. He’ll be taken back to California when Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsome signs a warrant.

According to various media accounts in California, Flammer was among several defendants accused of drug trafficking in northern California on the Nevada border.

Operation Daisy Cutter has resulted in the arrests of 21 people whom officials allege are part of cartel-supplied gangs. The multi-agency, multi-year effort includes sheriff’s offices from El Dorado, Douglas and Alpine counties as well as South Lake Tahoe Police and the FBI.

SouthTahoeNOW.com reported that since its beginning, Operation Daisy Cutter has resulted in the seizures 20 firearms, including multiple ghost guns, extended magazines, and weapons with obliterated serial numbers.

It also has seized $84,000 in cash, seven pounds of cocaine and four pounds of methamphetamine, fentanyl, oxycodone and three stolen vehicles.
