Bobcats fight the good net fight

The District 14C net wars continue until resolution of all conflicts is achieved.
Coach Emily Varbanac and her Superior Bobcats have taken the fight to several local foes lately, including Charlo in Superior Thursday (the Vikings won in three tough sets) and Victor in Victor Monday (where the Bobcats won in four).
In the Vikings’ 25-23, 25-18, 25-16 win in Superior Thursday, Superior’s Lily Jasper hit 15 digs, Josie Crabb an ace, three kills and 23 digs, Ava White 3 three kills and 23 digs, Lyla Beaudoin: two kills, 11 assists and 19 digs and Makenzie Reum two aces, 10 kills, 32 digs and a block.
In Superior’s 12-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-23 non-conference win over Victor, Crabb hit five aces, eight kills and 22 digs, White: three aces, a kill and 15 digs, and Reum an ace, five kills and 28 digs.
Superior and Alberton hosted the Mineral County Invitational Saturday and most of the 14C teams were there, plus 13C teams Lincoln, Drummond and Seeley-Swan, and District 7B Mission. Half of the teams involved played round robin matches at each location, with the teams with the best records from the round robin action later gathering in Superior for semifinal and championship matches in the afternoon.
Results from the Mineral County event were not available at press time.

Frank, Weaver named All-Star alternatives
Sheldon Frank and Dallas Weaver of the Noxon-Thompson Falls Red Devils have been named as alternates on the West team for the 2026 Montana All-Star High School baseball game to be played at Legends Stadium in Butte August 15.

Busy North team takes 2nd at Deer Park tourney
From Coeur d‘Alene to Deer Park, the North softball team, including players from Thompson Falls, Noxon, Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry, travels well, and have continued tearing up the basepaths at tournaments since the high school season ended.
