Cats drub Ronan, face Bulldogs Friday

The Columbia Falls football team took care of business against Ronan on the road Friday, dropping the Chiefs 54-0.
The Cats racked up 27 points in the first quarter and rolled from there.
Quarterback Banyan Johnston was three-for-three passing, with 158 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore Kyler Voermans threw a touchdown back to Johnston, as the Cats had all of four passes in the game.
The Wildcats had six rushers, with Voermans rushing for 57 yards to lead the Cats. Trip Ross had 41 yards and one touchdown. Connor Davis rushed for 46 yards and a TD.
Gabe Plevel led the receiver corps with 92 yards and two TDs. Easton Brooks had a 66 yard TD.
Ross led the defense with 10 tackles, while Plevel had six. Billy Joe West was perfect on point after attempts.
Next up is Whitefish on the road, who is coming off a 41-6 drubbing of Polson. The winner could decide the conference champion. Whitefish is 4-1, while the Cats are 2-3.
