CLARK FORK — Freshman Kiylah Anderson served up a career-high 10 aces, surpassing 60 aces on the season with the performance, senior Piper Scarlett added six aces of her own, and the Lady Cats totaled 30 aces altogether in a 2A Scenic Idaho Conference sweep of the Lady Jaguars (25-12, 25-13, 25-9) on Tuesday night at Clark Fork High.

Freshman Vanessa Rogier chipped in a team-high nine kills and five aces of her own while junior Nora-Jean Hoy registered five kills and four aces for Clark Fork, which closed the first set on a 15-6 run, started the second set on an 8-0 Anderson serving run, and closed out the third set with a 15-2 run.

"Your body naturally reflects what you receive from the other team — it's an active discipline to better the ball and put it into your team's system and pace — I think we did a lot better with that tonight," Clark Fork High head coach Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey said. "They were all really hungry to prove that they're capable of playing at a high level regardless of the type of system that was coming at them."

Anderson recorded a team-high 19 assists, senior Aurora Lane had four kills, senior Azlyn Anderson had three aces and junior Ella Beaman produced two aces for the Lady Cats in what was a homecoming game that also served as the team's senior night.

"When I think of these seniors, I think of the concept of 'loving the work'," coach Kiebert-Carey said of her dedicated trio that is Anderson, Lane and Scarlett. "You can love the outcomes, but it's the people who love to show up and work in the offseason and for their teammates outside of volleyball that makes them good leaders."

Rogier and Hoy reached 100 kills on the season while Scarlett reached 100 digs in the winning effort for Clark Fork (8-7), which will round out the regular season when they head to Bonners Ferry for a non-league matchup Thursday.

Klippel unstoppable in Lady Bulldogs' league win

Sandpoint 3, Moscow 2

MOSCOW — Sophomore Carlee Klippel was on a different level on Tuesday night.

The 5-foot 11-inch middle blocker put together a career-high 11 blocks — yes, 11 blocks — as the Lady Bulldogs outlasted the Lady Bears in a 5A Inland Empire League five-set battle (25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 21-25, 15-11) at the Bear Den.

Senior Belen Gonzales put together a season-high 17 kills and added three aces in the winning effort. Sophomore Breecyn Morton also contributed three aces while freshman Averi Mire led the way with an all-around performance that consisted of a career-high 18 digs and a career-high 36 assists.

Sandpoint (7-8) will travel to Lakeland for a league game Tuesday.

Kellogg 3, Priest River 1

KELLOGG — Sophomore McKinley Burgess-Duquette compiled a team-high 10 kills, senior Jayda Storro racked up a team-high 28 assists and team-high two aces as the Lady Spartans dropped a 3A Central Idaho League game to the Lady Wildcats (25-14, 21-25, 25-11, 25-18) on Tuesday night at Kellogg High.

Offensively, junior Raygn Turner had six kills, senior Aleigha Jensen and junior Rylee Dixon four each, and senior Toni Marinello two kills of her own for Priest River, which captured a four-point second set win over the undefeated Wildcats, who they lost to 3-0 earlier season.

On defense, Burgess-Duquette and junior Callie Stanger both recorded a tied for team-high 11 digs, Marinello had eight digs, and Dixon led the way at the net with a team-high three blocks.

Kellogg is 16-0 and clinched the CIL regular season title with the win.

Priest River (12-2) will travel to Orofino on Friday and Grangeville on Saturday for a pair of league matchups that will round out the regular season.
