Timothy "Pops" Robert Meeks, 80, of Post Falls, passed away Sept. 30, 2025.

He was loved, comforted, and hugged by his family until the end. A long-haul trucker, construction worker, rock hound, handyman, and the best and busiest unpaid mechanic around, Pops's greatest creation is the family he built with his wife of 61 years, Kayla. Pops is missed by Kayla; their children, Tim C. and Katy Meeks, Jo and Terry Ludiker, and Darin and Kimberly Meeks; grandchildren, Mikayla and Nick, Graysen and Kendahl, Keen and Amy, Hoss and Jasmine, Zane and Ashley, Dani Jo, KC, Maddie, and Brent; great-grandchildren, Truett and Everly; extended family; and everyone he ever struck up a conversation with.

Miller Lite shook to see this man coming, especially on NASCAR Sunday. He taught us everything we didn't need to know and everything we didn't know we needed, and his fierce hugs were so tight they almost hurt. Pops wasn't the type of person to say no when you needed help — not because he didn't know how, but because there was nothing he wouldn't drop to help a loved one. He was the heart of our family and the best friend, father, and papa.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at Pops's shop.
