The team opened with an 8–1 win over Spokane Shadow SC and followed it with a 2–1 victory against Glacier Surf Soccer Club. Sunday the Sting posted a 5–2 win over Washington East Surf Soccer Club and sealed the weekend with another 4–2 victory over Spokane Shadow SC. Saturday morning the Sting tied the Sandpoint Strikers FC 2016B Red Team 4-4. Sting goals were scored by Oliver Lundy, Jackson Martin, Elijah Cline and Jaxson Matheney. Saturday afternoon the Sting lost 5-3 to the Glacier Surf 2016 Boys Blue Team. Sting goals were scored by Lincoln Triebwasser, Emmett Cowan and Jackson Martin. Sunday morning the Sting beat the Missoula Surf 2016 B Team 11-0, securing their position in the finals. Goals were scored by Jaxson Matheney (4) Elijah Cline (2) Oliver Lundy (1) Jackson Martin (3) and Emmett Cowan (1). In the championship game Sunday afternoon the Sting beat the Glacier Surf 2016 Boys Blue team 6-2. Sting goals were scored by Lincoln Triebwasser (1) Jaxson Matheney (1) Elijah Cline (1) and Jackson Martin (3). Offensive highlights: 11 home runs, 15 doubles and 62 singles. Pitching: 57 strikeouts, 1.82 ERA, only 13 hits allowed. The Crush will be back this weekend at the USA Preps WA Play for Price tourney in the Tri-Cities.
