A Missoula man has been sentenced for back-to-back felony DUI convictions.

Steven Michael Beitz, 48, was committed in District Court in Polson Oct. 2 to 13 months with the Montana Department of Corrections with none of that time suspended. That will be followed by five years of probation.

Beitz was also sentenced to the Montana State Prison for five years, with all that time suspended on another felony DUI.

According to court records, each incident began with other motorists reporting a possibly impaired driver in a maroon pickup. One arrest occurred Sept. 14, 2024, and another on June 27 of this year, both in Lake County.

Judge John A. Mercer ran the terms consecutively to each other and gave Beitz credit for having served two days in jail.
