NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals battle back to beat Snow in five

EHPRAIM, Utah — Sophomore Allie Ferrin had 17 kills and eight digs for North Idaho College in a 24-26, 26-28, 25-18, 25-23, 15-12 win over the Snow Badgers in a Scenic West Athletic Conference match at the Horne Activity Center on Friday night.
“Our captains really stepped up tonight,” NIC coach Drew Pascua said. “We’ve been talking a lot about pushing harder at the end of sets to close them out. At intermission, it was the talk in the locker room to really believe in ourselves, and they came out and got the job done.”
Sophomore Madilyn Harper had 13 kills and three digs, sophomore Nicole Groiss nine kills and 15 digs, sophomore Rylie Dolven 15 assists for NIC (13-8, 2-2 SWAC), which travels to Utah State-Eastern (14-5, 2-2) of Price, Utah, today.
Chloee Leslee had 17 kills for Snow (8-11, 2-2).
