PREP ROUNDUP: Lakeland's Zachary sixth, Sandpoint's Eacret eight at state

CALDWELL — Lakeland junior Tyler Zachary finished sixth in the state 5A golf tournament at Purple Sage Golf Course on Saturday, finishing with a 8-over-par 150 for the 36-hole tournament.
“Tyler was super consistent throughout the tournament,” second-year Lakeland coach Colleen Hall-Headley said.
Zachary was seventh at state as a sophomore in Burley.
Sandpoint junior Bode Eacret finished eighth with a 154. The Bulldog boys finished sixth.
Lakeland junior Dani Russell was 16th with a 184, leading the Hawk girls to a sixth-place finish.
Aiden Szentanai of Bishop Kelly won the boys title with a 2-under 140, leading the Knights of Boise to their fourth straight team title.
Gracee Payne of Twin Falls shot a 5-over 149, leading the Bruins to the team title.

Nike Hole in the Wall invite
MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Coeur d’Alene sophomore Wyatt Morgenstern was seventh in the boys elite race in 14 minutes, 59.3 seconds, leading the Vikings to the team title with 43 points at the Nike Hole in the Wall Invitational at Lakewood High.
Coeur d’Alene, ranked third in the Northwest in the latest DyeStat.com rankings, had three others — Rowan Henry in 11th, Wyatt Carr 13th and Mitchell Rietze 15th — in the top 20, finishing with 43 points. Jesuit High of Portland, the top-ranked team in the Northwest, was second with 67 points.
Coeur d’Alene Charter senior Annabelle Carr was eighth in the elite girls race in 17:45.

LEWISTON — Sophomore Zuri Blood had 22 kills as the visiting Trojans beat the Bengals 25-19, 25-23, 26-28, 26-24.
Teresa Smith added 12 kills, 20 digs and two aces for Post Falls (18-7). Claire Ziegler had 33 assists, Lucy Carr 22 assists and two aces, Mia Carr 15 digs, Tiffany Foxx seven blocks, Reese DeGraw-Tryall five blocks.
“We showed our resilience,” Post Falls coach Matt Barkley said. “Lewiston battled us tough, we had some breaks that didn’t go our way, and we were still able to come home with a win. Zuri Blood was hammering the ball, and Tiffany and Reese put up a strong block to help finish off the match. We’re heading in the right direction as we head into the playoffs.”
Lewiston is 14-7.
Post Falls plays host to Lake City on Tuesday in the regular season finale for second place in the 6A Inland Empire League. The winner will host the loser on Saturday in a loser-out match to begin the 6A District 1 tournament.

KELLOGG — The host 3A Wildcats, fresh from winning the Central Idaho League crown earlier in the week, swept the 4A Tigers 25-16, 25-16, 25-17 at Andrews Gymnasium.
Addie Archer had 18 digs and five kills for Timberlake (7-10). Amarijana Olivieri had eight kills and nine digs, Rilynn Kaiser six blocks and two aces, Alicie Nield five blocks and two aces, Willow Mattson 11 assists.
Timberlake travels to St. Maries on Tuesday.
No statistics were reported for Kellogg (22-1), which is idle until the 3A District 1 tournament on Oct. 21.
