A resident of a Kalispell group home is facing a felony intimidation charge after allegedly wounding another person in the building late last month.

Cheyenne Autumn Leaf, 30, is expected to appear before Judge Amy Eddy in Flathead County District Court on Oct. 16 for her arraignment on the felony charge and misdemeanor counts of assault and obstructing a peace officer.

In charging documents, prosecutors accused Leaf of throwing a menu board at the victim — wounding them — and threatening them if they contacted the police or aided them. A third individual called the Kalispell Police Department to report the attack at about 4:07 p.m., Sept. 26, according to court documents.

Arriving officers confronted Leaf, who allegedly refused to comply with their directions to show her hands and walk backwards toward them. That prompted one of the officers to use a Taser to "gain ... Leaf's compliance," court documents said.

If convicted of felony intimidation, Leaf faces up to 10 years in Montana State Prison and a $50,000 fine.
