Orofino forfeits game against Bonners Ferry, Badgers now focus on Timberlake
Bonners Ferry Herald | UPDATED 2 months, 2 weeks AGO
An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated Bonners Ferry's next game is Oct. 27, when it is actually Oct. 24
Orofino has cancelled their Friday night home game against Bonners Ferry, citing a lack of healthy players. The forfeit comes a week after Bonners Ferry beat Moscow 41-26 on Senior Night.
In varsity’s place, JV will travel to Orofino, in what Bonners Ferry Head Coach Danny Swift said was making the best of a less-than-ideal situation for all.
The Badgers will now prepare for their final game of the regular season away against Timberlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. It will be their second and last conference game of the season.
Orofino last won a game in 2021 and have not won a conference game since 2018. They also forfeited one game last year against Grangeville.
Bonners Ferry is currently on a three-game winning streak, not including the forfeit. They are 5-2, their best record since 2022.
