Dye and Gibb lead Bulldog runners to third place

The Whitefish boys and girls cross country teams turned in solid performances Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Mission Shadow Duels at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo. The Bulldogs had consistent finishes across both rosters as they prepare for postseason competition.

The Whitefish girls placed third overall with 85 points, led by freshman Kendall Dye, who took eighth place in 21:28.22, showing poise beyond her years. Senior Sierra Gibb followed close behind in 13th place (22:06.35), while Addie Nerdig placed 21st (23:07.19) and Grace Inabnit finished 23rd (23:18.35). Rounding out the scoring was Sophie Douglas, who crossed in 28th at 23:58.28, and Sylvia Blair added depth in 33rd (24:30.79).

On the boys’ side, the Bulldogs finished ninth with 213 points in a highly competitive field. Sophomore Mason Loeffler led the way in 29th (19:15.00), followed by freshman Carver Brown in 32nd (19:25.48). Sophomore Peter Schram clocked 19:34.92 for 41st, while Henry Boysen (56th, 20:14.66) and Koru Larimore (66th, 20:40.00) helped secure the team’s top-10 finish.
