Robert 'Bob' Nissley, 82

Robert "Bob" Nissley, 82, passed away peacefully on Oct. 10, 2025, at The Springs in Whitefish. Bob was born in July 1943 to Ira and Ruth Nissley in Morgantown, Pennsylvania.
He grew up in Pennsylvania and attended school through 11th grade at Twin Valley before graduating from Eastern Mennonite High School. Bob was a hard-working and independent man who spent much of his life on the open road as a long-haul truck driver. In more recent years, he owned and operated Glacier Produce in Columbia Falls.
Bob loved the outdoors and had a lifelong passion for hunting — especially for big game. He was a man of strong faith who most recently attended Christ Lutheran Church in Whitefish, and before that, was active at Liberty Fellowship in Kalispell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Ruth Nissley, and his granddaughter, Payton Millward.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Janelle Nissley; daughters, Jill (Darin) Hagen and Sheri Millward; brother, Gerard (Rhoda) Nissley of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania; sister, Louise (Arthur) Nissley Good of North Judson, Indiana; brother, John (Lois) Nissley of Findlay, Ohio; and sister, Lynda (Darrell) Miller of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Quinton Millward, Katrina (Gage) Graham, Michele (Nathan) Thompson, Rachel (Michael) Huston, and Jacob Hagen, as well as great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Baylee and Skyler Graham, and Jaxon Huston.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. Visitation will begin at noon prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
