Owen and Ada Thiel ran to individual victory while the Glacier girls and Flathead boys took the team titles at the Glacier Invitational cross country meet Wednesday at Rebecca Farm.

For Owen Thiel it was a second straight title to go with a second place in 2023 and a sixth as a freshman in 2022.

Behind Thiel came a trio of Flathead runners: Carson Thorne, Brodyn DeShaw and Chris Holland. Ryker Zuffelato (seventh) and Ty Vandervelden (10th) helped Flathead to a 26-point team score, three ahead of Glacier. Kellogg (Idaho) finished third at 100 points.

Nathan Turner finished fifth and Jude Sparkman sixth for the Wolfpack.

Ada Thiel’s victory ended teammate Lauren Bissen’s streak at the event: Bissen, a junior,  finished second after winning the previous two years. Thiel is a freshman.

Everett Holland and Emery Eash finished third and fourth to lead the Bravettes, who were second in the team standings with 41 points. Glacier finished with 21 to win; Cut Bank was third with 74 points.
