Vikings and Valkyries shine at Mission Shadow Duels

The Bigfork cross-country program put together another gritty showing this past Saturday, Oct. 10, and the Mission Shadow Duels at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo, led by standout performances from Noah Hamilton-Dixon and Toren Wenz as both the boys’ and girls’ squads placed among the top teams.
The Vikings finished seventh overall with 171 points, paced by senior Noah Hamilton-Dixon, who took eighth place in 17:31.01, setting a personal record. Fellow senior Nic Gustavson followed in 12th (17:58.37), while junior Otto Schurke crossed in 35th (19:28.36). Fisher Sliter added a 54th-place finish (20:11.81), and Bradley Wood clocked a personal-best 20:38.99 for 65th. Sophomore Callen Ballard rounded out the varsity effort in 86th (22:56.06).
The Bigfork girls also impressed, taking fifth overall with 109 points. Freshman Toren Wenz continued her strong debut season, finishing fifth in 20:35.16, while senior Hadley Nollan was 12th in 21:58.53. Shannon Woll ran a personal record of 24:23.39 for 32nd, Mickie Anderson followed in 36th (24:41.90, PR), and Ava Reynolds closed the scoring with a 45th-place finish (25:46.23).
