SANDPOINT — Falling into a familiar pattern, the Bonner County Ambulance District completed a short meeting Wednesday, approving several dispatch agreements and other miscellaneous items.
The district approved medical director and consent agreements for nine local municipalities within the area to allow them to collaborate with BCEMS for the 2026 fiscal year.
Agreements approved were between Sagle Fire District, Sandpoint Fire Department, Westside Fire District, West Pend Oreille Fire District, Northside Fire District, Sam Owen Fire District, Schweitzer Fire District, Priest Lake EMTs and Clark Fork Valley Ambulance.
The consent agreements allow the above districts and departments the opportunity to be a collaborative agency with the county and its medical director, Ronald D. Jenkins, MD.
Continuing with other business affairs, Bonner County commissioners Brian Domke and Ron Korn unanimously approved the adjustment of four vehicle titles that were incorrectly labeled as property of Bonner County instead of Bonner County Ambulance Service District.
The four vehicles were the product of a 2022 purchase made with the district’s funds and registered to the incorrect owner.
During miscellaneous business, EMS Chief Jeff Lindsey presented a budget forecast for the district. Lindsey shared that $1.45 million cash had been carried over from the 2025 budget year, as opposed to last year’s end-of-October balance that was $142,600.
Lindsey told commissioners that the district is forecast to have revenue of $420,000 in January 2026 after projected expenses and revenue. He indicated that the district still intends to take out a tax anticipation note to provide cushion moving into the new year.
