University of San Diego volleyball

The sophomore from Post Falls High was named West Coast Conference Setter of the Week for last week, totaling 82 assists (11.71 A/S), 21 digs (3.00 D/S), six blocks, five kills, and four service aces in wins over Portland and Oregon State.

Munday began her week with 31 assists (10.33 A/S) 11 digs, three blocks, two kills, and a service ace on Thursday night in a sweep of the Pilots, then racked up 51 assists (12.75 A/S) in only four sets on Saturday afternoon as the Toreros defeated Oregon State by a 3-1 margin. She also added 10 digs, three blocks, three service aces, and three kills against the Beavers, which had entered the weekend tied with USD for first place in the WCC.

San Diego (13-4, 6-0 WCC) plays at Washington State tonight at 7 (ESPN+) and at Seattle U on Saturday. With the unbalanced conference schedule, San Diego does not play at Gonzaga this season.

Hanah Stoddard

Northern Arizona volleyball

Stoddard, 6-1 redshirt junior outside hitter from Lake City High, has started all 19 matches this season for the Lumberjacks (14-5), who visit Eastern Washington tonight (6, ESPN+) and Idaho on Saturday (2 p.m., ESPN+) in Big Sky Conference play. Stoddard had a team-high 308 kills this season.


Capri Sims

Central Washington women's basketball

Sims, a 6-foot junior forward from Post Falls High, was named an honorable mention to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference team, the school announced. Sims averaged 10 points per game, 8.7 rebounds and had 21 blocks, starting all 31 games for the Wildcats, who finished 23-8 last season.

Northern Arizona volleyball

Hosfeld, a 5-8 junior setter from Lake City High, leads the Lumberjacks in assists with 379 and is third with 177 digs.


Hazel Kunkel

Northwest Nazarene cross country

Kunkel, a freshman from Lake City High, finished 20th in 22 minutes, 0.15 seconds for the Nighthawks in the Lewis Crossover Meet on Saturday in Romeoville, Ill. Northwest Nazarene was 19th out of 36 teams.


Ellie Carlson

Providence volleyball

Carlson, a 5-4 junior libero from Lakeland High, had 11 digs for the Argos (20-1, 13-0 Frontier Conference) in a 25-8, 25-17, 25-18 sweep of Rocky Mountain of Billings, Mont., last Friday in Great Falls. Providence is now ranked second in the NAIA Coaches Poll, a program record.
