Eureka boys run to Western B/C Invite title

THOMPSON FALLS — Plains’ John Jermyn and Cord Greer finished 1-2, but it was Eureka that won the boys title at the Western B/C Invitational cross country meet held Thursday at Rivers Bend Golf Course.
Eureka’s Benjaman Hughes, River Traina, Jacob Hayes and Aidan Hartman all finished in the top 19; for team scoring purposes, their standing improved among runners competing for full teams. Hughes’ time was 17:45.93; Hays and Hartman said personal records.
The Lions scored 45 points. Plains, who saw Jermyn (15 minutes, 57.01 seconds) and Greer (16:13.96) run PRs, was next at 59. Florence was third.
Florence’s Bailey Kroeker won the girls individual title with a PR of 20:59.23, and her Falcons edged Drummond for the team title, 29-32. Eureka was third.
