The Wolfpack didn’t fall into the Braves’ trap.

Jackson Presley threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns as Glacier ran away from Flathead for a 56-0 victory in Crosstown football Thursday evening.

Glacier’s senior quarterback was 14-for-15 passing as the Wolfpack (8-0, 6-0 in Western AA games) racked up 440 yards of offense. Flathead (2-5, 1-5) was held to just 97.

“Trap games are a real thing, but not with this group,” Wolfpack coach Grady Bennett said. “The way our guys played tonight, they were so focused, so competitive, so fierce and physical. They played with so much passion.

“What a complete game in all three phases by our guys tonight.”

“We got to see what the best team in the state looks like, and we got to see where our team wants to get to,” Brave coach Mac Roche said. “Next week we need a big win to get into the playoffs, and we know the level that we need to be at in the playoffs.”

The run game was rolling for Glacier as well as Eli Imperato led Glacier with 92 yards on five carries, including a 52-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Asher Knopik and Trey Ramey also found the end zone on the ground.

The Wolfpack defense also got in on the fun with Jack Robinson nabbing a 30-yard pick-6 off Eli Coopman. Coopman had three interceptions for the Braves.

The Wolfpack seniors finished their careers 4-0 against Flathead, and Bennett said he can’t find enough words to describe this class.

“It is such a special group,” Bennett said. “I am so blessed to be able to be around these guys.”

Glacier has outscored its opponents 358-51 this season.

Presley found Cooper Pelc on the second play of the game for a 41-yard touchdown to help Glacier get on the board first.

“I just saw some matchups that we had, and I was able to trust my receivers and know what they are going to do,” Presley said. “We accomplished a lot of things and I’m just excited to keep building on this for next week.”

Next Glacier possession Presley again aired it out, this time finding Austin Gragg for a 33-yard score to make it 14-0.

Ramey took over on the next Wolfpack possession with a 36-yard run down to the 1; he then punched it in on the next play to extend the lead to 21-0.

Knopik made it 28-0 with a 2-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter.

Presley then found Robinson, who scored on both sides of the ball Thursday, for a 2-yard touchdown pass with four minutes left in the first half.

Pelc and Presley then hooked up again for an 11-yard pitch-and-catch to give Glacier a 42-0 lead heading into the break.

Three plays out of the half Robinson jumped on a Coopman pass and found the end zone.

Imperato capped off the scoring with his scamper.

The Wolfpack remain home next week to take on Missoula Big Sky Thursday with a win securing the top seed in the playoffs.

Flathead heads to Missoula to play Sentinel Friday at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The Braves’ playoff hopes remain alive with a win.
