Libby runners deliver strong showing behind Watson and Farmer

The Libby Logger cross country teams posted impressive results on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Mission Shadow Duals at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo, with junior Cody Watson and sophomore Capri Farmer leading the way as top-five finishers.
On the girls side, the Lady Loggers earned an impressive fourth-place team finish with 91 points, anchored by Farmer, who ran 19:40.86 to place third overall. Sophomore Alli Clemons finished seventh (21:13.72, PR) and junior Hailey Misner was 11th (21:44.50, PR).
Sophomore Lillian Bailey crossed in 43rd (25:31.57), followed by freshman Rylee Thompson in 50th (26:08.48). Evalyn Cliff (53rd, 28:16.22 PR) and Kyla Lausen (56th, 29:19.68) rounded out Libby’s deep roster.
The Libby boys tied for fifth overall with 145 points, led by Watson, who finished fifth in 16:54.46 in a deep and fast field. Junior Colter Anderson placed 23rd (18:52.08), while Samuel Erickson was close behind in 34th (19:27.40).
Rounding out the scoring were Jake Rusdal in 40th (19:34.88) and freshman Cody Katzer in 43rd (19:38.48). Sophomore Levi Nick added support in 74th (21:12.00).
The Loggers will run at the Fall Classic in Hamilton Friday before competing in the Montana High School Association Class A Championships Saturday, Oct. 25 in Missoula.
