The Mission Bulldogs beat Troy, 68-28, last week in Troy.

Due to a shortage of officials, the game was played Thursday evening.

Mission led 54-6 at halftime, enacting the Mercy Rule and a running clock.

The Bulldogs, 5-2 in the West Conference 8-man standings, are tied with three other teams.

The Trojans, still seeking their first win, are 0-7 and tied with Plains (0-7) for last place. Troy plays at Plains at 7 p.m. Friday. The Trojans will conclude their season at home Friday, Oct. 24 against Arlee (3-4). The teams’ seniors will be recognized.

The Bulldogs led 8-0 following a touchdown 90 seconds into the game.

But the Trojans answered right back when Maddux Stow caught a 35-yard pass from quarterback Carson Orr. A few plays later, senior Gunnar Fisher caught a 6-yard TD pass from Orr to make it 8-6.

But the Bulldogs pulled away, scoring on their next six possessions. The defense also scored on a pick six. The Bulldogs intercepted a total of four passes in the first half.
