Ghosts, ghouls and ?minions? to invade local libraries

MOSES LAKE — Ghouls, goblins and ghosts will be making an appearance at local libraries across Grant County. All events are free and open to the public.  

Not-So-Scary Halloween 

Oct. 25 

Moses Lake Library  

This is a sensory-friendly Halloween alternative. The Moses Lake Library has partnered with the Moses Lake Community Coalition to offer a fun Halloween event for those with sensory sensitivities. The event is open for babies, toddlers, kids, tweens and teens. There will be activities for children to do from 5. to 8 p.m. Oct. 25. 

Children’s storytime 

Oct. 30 

Soap Lake Library  

For half an hour, at 10 a.m., the library will be filled with stories, songs and rhymes. This program is designed for children and their adult caregivers.  

Halloween Crafts  

Oct. 31 

Moses Lake Library 

The library will be leading several craft activities for people of all ages. The event starts at 4 p.m. and goes until 5:30 p.m. The library recommends that people show up a little bit early, as supplies are limited.  

Spooky Movie Night 

Oct. 31 

Moses Lake Library 

Join the Moses Lake Library for scary movies and popcorn from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. The event is 13+. 

Trick-or-treat Downtown Ephrata 

Oct. 31 

Ephrata Library 

Stop by the Ephrata Library during the giant downtown Trick-or-Treat event. The library will be handing out free books, candy and library swag to trick-or-treaters from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The library is just a short walk from the Ephrata Chamber of Commerce's annual spree on First Avenue.

Friday morning storytime 

Oct. 31 

Warden Library 

From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., children between ages 0 and 5 are invited to the Warden Library for action songs, fingerplays, rhyming and story time. After storytime, there is a craft or special activity.
