Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 1 month, 2 weeks AGO
"With deep sadness our family announces the passing of Josh Clevenger, 41, from an automobile accident in Kalispell on Sept. 27, 2025."
Josh was born in Redmond, Washington, on Dec. 18, 1983, to Tom and Pam (Waller) Clevenger and spent his childhood years growing up in Washington state. He became a loyal Seahawks fan at an early age and referred to himself as a "12" for life. Josh also found his true passion for wrestling at the age of 6 and continued through high school. During his school years Josh developed skills for car repair and became extremely knowledgeable as a mechanic, working on anything with a motor. He then moved with his family to Kalispell in 2001.
Josh met his wife, Cari Webb, in late 2004 in Kalispell. They married July 18, 2010, aboard a cruise ship on Flathead Lake. Josh and Cari spent 21 years of adventures and half their lives together building and creating a family. They were blessed with two amazing sons, McKayde in 2006 and Kendrix in 2015. Josh was a true family man and deeply enjoyed spending his time with his wife and children. Although he was a husband, son, grandson, brother and good friend to many, Josh absolutely loved being a father and nothing brought him greater joy than to spend time with his sons. Josh enjoyed wrestling, football, snowboarding, kayaking, fishing, camping, traveling, playing pool, the outdoors — especially the mountains and water — cooking, eating out at new restaurants and being a "foodie" with Cari, listening to music and podcasts, writing, painting, drawing, and building. He had the best laugh and truly enjoyed humor; his smile will be missed.
He had a very caring heart and his decision to be a cornea and tissue donor gives his family comfort knowing his light will shine and his spirit will live on in those whom he helped. He was loving, funny, mischievous and had a witty, sarcastic sense of humor. He was a coach to many in the wrestling community, a mentor, best friend and foster dad to some. He was his son, McKayde’s number one wrestling fan. He was a best friend to his other son, Kendrix; he would drop him off at school every day and tell him, "I love you, have a great day buddy." They would watch countless movies together and talk about cars and the Army. Being born in Washington state, he was a loyal Seahawks fan through and through. He enjoyed all sports, but fantasy football is where he could banter with his friends and compete for bragging rights. You could find him over at grandma’s house on Saturday mornings, having coffee, talking about their gardens and flowers. Fishing around the Flathead Valley is where he connected with nature and gave him peaceful time to reflect on his life. He was an astounding friend to many and an all-around amazing man who would help anyone who needed it.
Josh is survived by his wife, Caroline (Cari) Clevenger; his sons, McKayde Robert Glenn Clevenger and Kendrix Jean Clevenger; his "best girl" and dog, Opal Lynn Clevenger and kitty cat, Emerald Lucifer Clevenger; his mother, Pam Waller (Mark Hill); brother, Travis Clevenger; sister, Jeana Clevenger; grandmother, Carol Kinsley and stepsiblings, Dalton (Jaleen) Hill, Carlee (Auston) Stoller and Morgan (Corban) Crevier, all of Kalispell; in-laws, Robert and Penny Webb and brother-in-law, Jason and wife, Shannon Webb, all of Nevada; aunt, Linda Kelsen of Oregon; uncle, Alan Clevenger of Alaska; uncle, Ron Waller and aunt, Jan (Ed) Pennington, all of Arizona; numerous cousins and countless friends he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn (Tom) Clevenger; his paternal grandparents, Zelmer (Shugg) Clevenger and Helen Danker; his maternal grandfathers, Marvin Waller and Pat Kinsley and his aunt, Cynthia Hohman.
A memorial for Josh will be held at the Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in Kalispell on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m., followed by a reception to celebrate him with stories and memories. Friends are encouraged to visit the website buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolences for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
