The Bigfork Vikings looked every bit a playoff contender Friday night, dismantling Ronan 56–0 in a Northwest A contest that showcased just how explosive the Vikings’ offense has become down the stretch.

Bigfork (5–2, 3–1) wasted no time taking control, scoring 27 points in the opening quarter. Quarterback Cole Schmit connected with Tamret Savik for three touchdown passes—covering 9, 20, and 10 yards—and Treker Hickey added a 6-yard scoring run as the Vikings overwhelmed the Chiefs early.

Backup quarterback Alex Ochs kept the momentum rolling in the second quarter, scoring on a 4-yard keeper before tossing a 22-yard touchdown pass to Oliver Buzzell. That play pushed the lead past 35 points before halftime.

Bigfork’s depth continued to shine after the break. Sophomore Wyatt Hickey broke loose for a 15-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and freshman Lex Bessette followed with a 17-yard scoring run to close out the rout.

The Vikings’ defense was equally dominant, holding Ronan (0–7, 0–4) scoreless and controlling field position throughout.

Now riding a wave of confidence, Bigfork heads into its regular-season finale with momentum, hosting Whitefish next Friday in a matchup likely to determine the second and third playoff seeds from the Northwest A.
