Bulldog runners take on competitive Western A Classic

Whitefish cross country runners faced tough competition at Saturday’s Western A Classic, with the boys placing 12th and the girls taking eighth in the team standings.

For the boys, sophomore Mason Loeffler led the Bulldogs in 48th place with a time of 19:37. Freshman Carver Brown was close behind in 50th (19:37), followed by Peter Schram (54th, 19:57), senior Logan Hyland (57th, 20:06), and freshman Henry Boysen (60th, 20:26). Senior Koru Larimore finished 61st (20:28) and Noah Oaks 71st (21:14).

On the girls’ side, junior Sierra Gibb placed 30th in 22:27 to pace the Lady Bulldogs. Grace Inabnit followed in 35th (22:48), while Sophie Douglas was 38th (22:55), Addie Nerdig 45th (23:39), and Maren Cromie 48th (23:51) to complete Whitefish’s scoring five. Freshman Kalina Bruckerhoff placed 52nd (24:11) and sophomore Sylvia Blair 60th (25:24).
