MOSES LAKE — Halloween is right around the corner and fun, spooky and exciting events are coming soon to help area residents enjoy the holiday. Here are a few:
EPHRATA
Oct. 31
St. Rose of Lima Trunk-or-Treat
Candy for the children, plus Porky’s Hot Dogs and Tacos El Tapatio will be on site. 5-7 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, 520 Nat Washington Way.
MOSES LAKE
Oct. 25
Spooky Edition at the Moses Lake Farmers Market
Celebrate in spooktacular style at the last market of the regular season. Come in costume and trick-or-treat the vendors, and vote for the best bumpkin and the best-decorated booth. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at McCosh Park, Moses Lake.
Sand Scorpions Halloween Bash
Raffle, craft bags, pumpkins and costume contest for all ages. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Moses Lake Sand Dunes ORV Park.
Moses Lake Alliance Church Trunk-or-Treat
Treats, games and fun. 4-6 p.m. at Moses Lake Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Drive.
Oct. 29
BBCC Trunk-or-Treat
Costumes, candy and decorative car trunks. 5:30-7 p.m. at Big Bend Community College DeVries Activity Center, 6952 College Pkwy. NE, Building 2000.
Oct. 31
Kids Costume Contest
For ages 17 and under. 3-8 p.m. at Half-Sun Travel Plaza, 420 SD. Wanapum Drive.
Moses Lake Church of Christ Trunk-or-Treat
6-8 p.m. at 808 E. Sharon Ave.
Moses Lake Christian Church Candyland/Trunk-or-Treat
Candy-filled car trunks, festive games and prizes, hot dogs and popcorn. 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Moses Lake Christian Church, 200 Yonezawa Blvd.
Harvest Party
Games and festive activities for all ages. 6-8 p.m. at Moses Lake Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy Ave.
Spooky Movie Night
Free movie and popcorn. For ages 13 and up. 6-8 p.m. at Moses Lake Public Library, 418 E. Fifth Ave.
OTHELLO
Oct. 31
Wahitis PTO Trunk-or-Treat
Candy, games and fun. 5-6:30 p.m. at Wahitis Elementary School parking lot, 905 S. 14th Ave.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Trunk-or-Treat
Come with your neighbors and have a safe space for your children to trick or treat. Decorate your car, if you like, and bring some wrapped treats to pass out to the children. No cost to attend; come dressed up and ready to have a good time. All are welcome. 5:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 611 S. Seventh Ave.
Free Halloween Movie Night
The movie will be “Hocus Pocus.” Every middle school student and younger will receive one free bag of popcorn. Sponsored by Columbia Physical Therapy. 7:30 p.m. at The Showhouse, 130 N. Broadway Ave.

Free Harvest Meal and Trunk-or-Treat
