- A brief description of your immediate family     

Married 21 years to Nicole Kessler, a pediatric speech therapist for Kellogg School District. Three children, Annika (16) Adelynn (4) Christian (12). 

- Notable/relevant achievements or experience   

During my service to Osburn, I’ve championed community-driven initiatives — legalizing chickens, expanding Lions Park, improving roads and sidewalks, and enhancing traffic safety. I’ve also supported safe bus stops and strengthened our police department’s self-sufficiency and professionalism, all to improve quality of life and reflect the will of our residents. 

- What is your background and/or relevant experience for the position you are running for?    

I have served since 2022 as part of the Osburn City Council. I have leadership experience in my time as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army, including a combat tour in Iraq; 15 years serving the citizens of Idaho as an Idaho State Police Trooper; experience helping create and manage a large organizational budget. Guiding a large church congregation as the Lead Pastor of Real Life Ministries Silver Valley. I also run a private business that specializes in motorcycle repair and maintenance. 

- What is your main priority if you are elected?    

As a candidate for City Council, I am committed to making our city as safe as possible. The people in our great city, my family included, desire to live in a safe community. My primary focus is ensuring safe living for all residents by supporting our police department with the resources and training they need to protect and serve effectively. I will prioritize allocating resources to enhance community programs that foster well-being for all citizens. 

- What do you believe are the key issues associated with the position?   

Serving on City Council means being a voice for the people — not holding power, but carrying responsibility. I aim to represent residents’ will with integrity and transparency. My priorities are fiscal responsibility, stewardship of city resources, and public safety. That means balanced budgets, efficient infrastructure management, and strong support for our police. I’ll advocate for strategic planning, open financial processes, and community programs that build trust and safety. By working collaboratively with residents and local leaders, we can ensure Osburn remains stable, welcoming, and resilient — now and for future generations.
