Mary Veronica Brewster was born March 8, 1958, in Seattle, Wash., and passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her own home on Oct. 12, 2025.
She graduated from Holy Names Academy Seattle in 1976. After high school she attended Shoreline Community College and Washington State University. She married Wayne Brewster in 1982. Mary’s Christian faith and family were her world. She cherished family time, especially her four grandchildren.
Mary retired from Mukilteo School District in 2021 and was enjoying her retirement years in Dover, Idaho. She always had a smile on her face and everyone who came in contact with her felt like a lifetime friend. Mary always had a heart for disadvantaged children. She enjoyed reading her Bible, walking, skiing, traveling, and working in her yard.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Lindgren; and her brother, Matthew.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; son Matt (Brenna); daughter Nicole (Trent); sister Anita (Peter); brothers Ed (Mary Ann), Dave, (Colleen) and Mark (Cathie); aunt Irene; four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary is greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at North Summit Church 201 N. Division Sandpoint, Idaho, on Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. with a reception immediately following at the Heartwood Center, 615 Oak St., Sandpoint.
