PREP ROUNDUP: Coeur du Christ caps unbeaten North Star slate, earns first-round playoff bye

CLARK FORK — Sophomore Beckett Beyer scored four touchdowns three different ways as the Coeur du Christ Saints wrapped up an undefeated North Star League season with a 62-8 victory over the Clark Fork Wampus Cats on Friday night.
Beyer caught a pair of touchdown passes from Grant Clemens, and also returned a kickoff and an interception for a touchdown for Coeur du Christ (7-1, 3-0 NSL).
Clemens finished with four touchdown passes for the Saints, a second-year program which qualified for the state 1A playoffs for the first time.
Coeur du Christ earned a first-round bye next week, and will make its playoff debut in two weeks.
Clark Fork finished 1-6, 0-3.

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Senior Ty Paulin ran for two touchdowns and had an interception and long return in the first quarter as the Vikings beat the Eagles of Tacoma, Wash., in Coeur d’Alene’s regular-season finale at Central Washington University’s Steve Hertling Field.
Tannar Stern ran for a touchdown, and threw TD passes to Ian Dahlin and Jackson Hackett for Coeur d’Alene (6-3). Maddox Lindquist also had a long interception return for a score for the Vikings.
George Mitchell had an interception in the third quarter for Coeur d’Alene, and Andrew Petree blocked a punt late in the third quarter.
Life Christian is 4-4.
“Great game before the playoffs,” Coeur d’Alene coach Shawn Amos said. “Boys played hard and we got a lot of players playing time. Most importantly, no new injuries.”
Coeur d’Alene will have a first-round bye in the state 6A playoffs next week, then host a quarterfinal game in two weeks.

SPIRIT LAKE — The visiting Badgers won the Intermountain League title for the first time since 2022 with the win over the Tigers in the season finale for Timberlake (1-8, 0-2 IML).
Bonners Ferry (7-2, 2-0) will have a first-round bye in the state 4A playoffs next week, then play a semifinal game in two weeks.
Nick Rostege caught a TD pass from Ryker Brennan for Timberlake, and Joe Torr ran for a score for the Tigers.

Priest River, ranked 15th by MaxPreps in the latest rankings, receives a first round by in the state 3A playoffs, which start next weekend.
It was the season finale for Kellogg.

SILVERTON — Sophomore Cooper Miller threw eight touchdowns to four different receivers for the Miners in a North Star League win over the Knights at the Sather Field Athletic Complex.
“Our defense was relentless all night,” Wallace coach Jared Young said. “It was a huge team effort. A lot of respect to Lakeside and how hard they played.”
Wallace (7-2, 2-1 NSL), which entered sixth in the latest MaxPreps rankings, awaits its seed for the 12-team 1A playoff field.
Lakeside finished 1-8, 1-2.

PRIEST RIVER — The second-seeded Spartans earned a berth to state by beating the third-seeded Bulldogs 3-0 in the second-place game of the 3A District 1-2 tournament.
Priest River (16-3) advances to state Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls.
Grangeville finishes 11-13.
