Wallace – The annual TaTa’s Party fundraiser was held Saturday, Oct. 11, upstairs at the Wallace Elks Lodge, drawing a lively crowd of bidders eager to support local cancer patients.

Organizers were busy accepting last-minute donations as attendees browsed nearly 40 silent auction items and participated in popular attractions such as the Mystery Wine Wall and Beer Pull. The Coffee Cart sold out within hours, and cupcakes—available by donation—were quickly boxed and enjoyed at tables.

Auctioneer Darren Arave energized the crowd during the live auction, which featured more than 30 items. All auction items were donated by community members committed to the cause.

“This is truly a ‘by the community, for the community’ event,” organizers said.

This year’s sponsors included Dave Smith Motors, Wallace Ace Hardware, Rossi Insurance, Hecla Mining, Bank CDA, Zanetti Bros, Boulder Creek, Dirty Bird Fabrication, Peak Mechanical, Mountain West Bank, TR Excavation, Apex Heating, US Silver, Innovative Builders LLC, and The Desperate Diva.

Thanks to generous donations and spirited bidding, the event raised $18,000 for the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center, located at 204 Oregon St., Suite J, in Kellogg. The center provides services to Silver Valley residents, including gas and prescription vouchers, as well as Debby’s Grant, which helps cover larger cancer-related expenses.
