ALL-LEAGUE BOYS SOCCER: McGrann honored as Co-MVP, six others receive accolades

ALL-LEAGUE: Logan McGrann
The senior midfielder returned from an injury to receive honors for the third year in as many seasons played. The former 2022 Newcomer of the Year put the team on his back and played an integral part in orchestrating the offense.
Coach's comment: "Logan is the perfect example of a teammate who desires for the collective group to excel. He has approached every moment this season with a growth mindset. I have never been more sure about a player being deserving of league MVP honors." — Dan Anderson
ALL-LEAGUE: Isaac Schmit
The senior defender received honors for the second straight year as he led the Bulldogs to a 70-22 goal differential this season as a mainstay on the back line.
Coach's comment: "Isaac is one of the best one-on-one defenders I have ever had the pleasure to coach and leads by example without expecting recognition. Having him in your back line makes the team feel secure." — Dan Anderson
ALL-LEAGUE: Pax Longanecker
The sophomore defender received honors for the second year in a row, following up his Newcomer of the Year honors from last season. He continues demonstrate his high soccer IQ every time he steps onto the pitch.
Coach's comment: "Pax manages to be one of the best players on the field even when he is having an off day. He constantly helps his team on both sides of the ball and is incredibly fun to watch." — Dan Anderson
ALL-LEAGUE: Huxley Hall
The bona fide goal scorer's hard work paid off this season as he followed up his 2024 MVP honors with another all-league selection.
Coach's comment: "Huxley is a pure goal scorer. His joy while playing the game is infectious and it's obvious to everyone who watches him how much he loves and respects this sport." — Dan Anderson
ALL-LEAGUE: Caiden Gion
The senior defender is receiving honors for the first time this year after a solid display on the back line that helped the Bulldogs to their 70-22 goal differential. Free kick's and headers on corner tries were his specialty.
Coach's comment: "Caiden exceeded my expectations this season. He dedicated himself to not only being one of the best players each time he stepped on the field, but also became a stellar leader and teammate." — Dan Anderson
ALL-LEAGUE: Landon Brinkmeier
The junior goalkeeper is receiving honors for the first time this year after he demonstrated great awareness and composure as the starter. He was responsible for seven shutouts and put together arguably one of the best performances by a Bulldog goalie at the state tournament in recent memory.
Coach's comment: "Landon was phenomenal between the sticks for us this season. He kept us in tight games countless times and approached the season in a professional and mature fashion." — Dan Anderson
ALL-LEAGUE: Gus Penrose
The sophomore defender received honors for the second straight year and was very much a key part of the Bulldogs' significant goal differential this season.
Coach's Comment: "There is no place Gus would rather be than on the soccer field. He could excel at any position on the field and has a bright future ahead in this sport." — Dan Anderson
COACH OF THE YEAR: Daniel Anderson
In his second year, the 2010 Sandpoint High graduate led the program to a 14-5-2 record and to the 5A state semifinals. His overall record now stands at 24-12-4 as head coach.
