Bonners Ferry boys soccer played in the 4A 2025 IDHSAA Boys Soccer Tournament from Oct. 23-26. Ranked sixth out of eight teams, the Badgers started the single elimination tournament against third ranked McCall-Donnelly, ranked 13 in the state compared to the Badgers, who are ranked 32 in the state.
In a close game, it was McCall-Donnelly who progressed to the semifinals with a 2-1 win over the Badgers at Real Life Field in Post Falls, where all the games were played. McCall eventually lost in the finals to the top ranked team in the tournament, Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy.
Playing in the consolation bracket, Bonners Ferry did not give up any goals in a narrow 1-0 win against the Ambrose School, who were ranked seventh in the tournament. Based in Meridian, the Ambrose School beat McCall-Donnelly earlier in the season.
Against fifth ranked Teton, Bonners Ferry scored early in the second half to make it a 1-0 game from a long free kick. With 11 minutes left, the game was tied up as Teton scored following a free kick of their own. Seven minutes later, a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper once again resulted in a Teton goal and they prevailed 2-1 in a consolation match.
Bonners Ferry finished 12-9, 7-3 in conference play. They scored 64 goals this season, only allowing 44. They only have two seniors in Logan Archibald and Lincoln Hymas and will look to improve next season.
